Custom Gait Belts for Medical Supply Brands: Materials, Buckles and Safety

A gait belt is a webbing belt that a caregiver fastens around a patient’s waist to give a safe handhold during walking, standing or transfers between a bed and a chair. It is an assistive device, not a lifting device, and it should always be used together with the handling protocol of the facility or the instruction of the care professional.

Because the product is handled every day, the specification matters more than the appearance. The webbing needs to hold its shape under load without cutting into the patient, the buckle must release quickly when required, and the stitching must survive repeated tension cycles.

Materials and construction used in our gait belts include heavy-duty cotton or polypropylene webbing, reinforced stitching along the full length, and a metal buckle with a positive release action. Metal buckles are preferred by many medical buyers because they are easier to verify and clean than plastic hardware, and they accept a custom logo engraving without weakening the frame.

Points that buyers normally agree before production:

Hongmioo has produced belts since 1997 and runs ISO 9001 certified production with BSCI and SEDEX audits and VF compliance. Medical and care suppliers can order gait belts as part of the same OEM and ODM programme used for belts, straps and restraints.

MOQ starts at 50 pieces. Samples are ready in 10-15 days, and bulk production takes about 35 days after the sample is approved. Send a specification, a reference sample or images, and our design team will prepare a quotation, a sample plan and a full size and specification sheet.
